Shakan Innovations covers the running costs of the platform. Your support helps us keep informal trade digital and instant.
What your support covers
- PayShap and payment partners. We cover Ozow and gateway fees on every sale during the pilot.
- SMS alerts: payment confirmations and cash-out codes so vendors never miss a sale.
- Cash-out network: Flash vouchers so sellers withdraw at Checkers, Pick n Pay, Spar, and more.
- QR kits and branding: printed stickers and starter materials for pilot vendors.
- Platform and security: hosting, identity checks, and the team keeping Rhino Pay running.
What we never charge
Buyers pay R0 through Rhino Pay. Vendors keep 100% of every sale in their wallet. We do not take a percentage at the traffic light. Sustainability comes from community support and partner programmes, not taxing a R30 snack.
R20 helps send a handful of vendor SMS alerts. R50 contributes toward payment costs for a day of stall trade. Every rand goes toward keeping the curb free.
